“Kaleidoscope Kids”, an exhibition to showcase the vibrant paintings of our young artists was held at the Circular Gallery of the Nehru Centre from 14th to 20th November 2023. We had on display over 200 paintings done by our children. Under the guidance of our art teacher Mrs Supriya Parker, cards, diyas and brightly painted ornamental kettles with warli art were on display.

Mrs Pheroza Godrej our Chief Guest for the event inaugurated the exhibition and was amazed at the creativity and talent of the children. From vibrant pictures of birds and flowers to paintings of gods and goddesses and mythological themes to the most evocative paintings by 13 and 15 year olds on the plight of innocent children caught in the cross fire of war and conflict and deserving a future free from suffering.

Our two most recent prize winners, 19 year old Vikrant Sahani who won a prize at the International event in Poland and 6 year old Aayat Khan who won the Camlin India grand finale prize, had their paintings on display.

The event was well attended by friends and well-wishers, donors, art aficionados, members of the National Council and General Body, the team of NSCC-I staff led by Director Mrs Sarita Nawalkar and members of the family of our Founder, Begum Zehra Ali Yavar Jung.

The exhibition was organised to celebrate our children over Children’s Day and also marked the culmination of our golden jubilee celebrations.
